Linux Systems Administrator

Requirements:

  • High level of knowledge about Linux OS,
  • At least one year of experience working as an Administrator, Linux / UNIX systems on at least 10 systems simultaneously,
  • Experience in working with the standard Linux-based services (LDAP, web servers, mail services, VPN, RDBMS, monitoring, backups, etc.),
  • Advanced level of programming in Python,
  • Ability to create shell scripts at a level sufficient for the efficient administration of the Linux operating system,
  • Knowledge of the security of Linux / UNIX,
  • Availability.

Additional assets:

  • Basic knowledge of Java application servers (e.g. Oracle WebLogic, JBoss, WebSphere, Glassfish) and mechanisms of the JVM,
  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing,
  • Knowledge of commercial RDBMS (e.g. Oracle),
  • Knowledge of SQL,
  • Knowledge of tools to support the management of IT projects (e.g. Trac, Redmine, JIRA).
